As the sole developer at Murdock Industrial Inc, I worked closely with stakeholders on the eCommerce tech stack, covering both front-end and back-end engineering as well as internal software tooling and development. My role as an IT manager involved coordinating with external vendors and contracted technicians to ensure prompt repairs and minimize crucial infrastructure outages.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements

IT Management

Managed all IT-related tasks including the administration of Active Directory, handling Amazon Web Services (AWS), overseeing the company's infrastructure, and troubleshooting hardware issues. My hands-on approach ensured that the company's technology operations ran smoothly and efficiently.

eCommerce Platform Migration

Spearheaded the transfer of the company's eCommerce website from Magento to Shopify. This strategic move resulted in an impressive year-over-year sales growth of 120%, demonstrating the success and impact of the transition.

Shopify Web Applications Development

Leveraged Shopify's powerful tools including the Shopify API, Shopify App Bridge, and Shopify Polaris, to develop user-friendly and efficient web applications.

Website UX Design and Maintenance

Planned, designed, and implemented various website UX features, including front-end theme customizations. The technologies I used included Liquid, HTML, Javascript, and CSS. Additionally, I developed back-end tooling to connect and maintain various microservices.

Internal Applications Development

Developed a variety of internal desktop and web applications using Python, JavaScript, Flask, NodeJS, and ReactJS. These applications played a key role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
